Position Description:

Position Summary :

Increase business by supporting representativesand customers with technical and commercial information. Answertechnical questions regarding control valves, material recommendations,pneumatic systems, digital products. Answer commercial questionsregarding terms of contracts, lead times, and documentation requirements. Additional responsibilities include general problem solving as itrelates to valve orders, and hosting visitors by giving informative facilitytours and appropriate entertainment. Travel required to develop businessby making presentations and training. 1-2 years experiencerequired.

JobDuties:

Accountabilities

· All accountabilities of a Level 1engineer.

· Timely response to customer andrepresentative inquiries.

· Review all valve orders forcompleteness and correctness. Must resolve all issues before passingorder to the Contract Administrator for entry.

· Must train representativesto better understand our product, update of services, policies, to help them bemore self-sufficient, competent, and profitable.

· Correctly apply applicableindustry standards.

· Prepare professional andpersuasive quotations to win orders.

· Assist other departments wheneverorder questions arise.

· Synergistic work in a teamenvironment.

· Review and approve commercialterms of contracts.

· Disseminate un-printed technicalinformation to the representatives.

· Proper application of technicalknowledge of control valves, noise, cavitation, pneumatics, materials.

· Correctly identify and apply QAprocedures to meet customer requirements.

Technical knowledge of fluids, corrosion, erosion, materials, valve

specifications, engineering drawings. Time management skills are essential as

work load normally exceeds available time. Organization of projects, files, workload.

Prioritization of workload. Must be able to teach topics from CV101

school. Know how to build valves and

calibrate positioners. Must have a

basic knowledge of the order process from entry to shipment. Basic knowledge of commercial issues including

payment terms, shipping terms, and contract review.
