The Flowserve facility in Raleigh, NC is responsible for the manufacturing of a wide range of valves for a variety of industries, including the nuclear industry. This facility has 175K sq ft of manufacturing and inventory space.
Primary responsibilities of the Master Scheduler will include but not be limited to the following:
Maintaining the summary master schedule for the baseline and project business to ensure that the forecast and capacity planning for plant is effectively managed and accurate on a weekly basis for short and long term horizons.
Emphasis will be placed on the major project business manufacturing scheduling which will require extensive coordination with the Project team to ensure project schedules and manufacturing schedules are aligned to drive the business and meet customer expectations.
Focused factory functional boundaries for order and projects running across all focused factories will be properly coordinated.
Book & Ship analysis will be modeled to maximize incremental business based on delivery capabilities of open capacity from the time phased backlog.
Unscheduled backlog will be review for strategic pre-buy of long lead materials for the purposes of ensuring on-time delivery performance is maximized, as well as ensuring competitive margin orders and projects are strategically scheduled.
The Master Scheduler will also assist with critical constraint planning such as A-type actuator capacity planning for machining and plating as well as other key machinery cell loading such as the Trevisans.
BA/BS degree required with technical or sciences background.
Minimum of 5-7 years of project or planning experience is required.
Experience with MRP/ERP Business Systems, MS Excel and MS Project or similar project tracking software is preferred.
Strong administration, communication, and facilitating skills required to interact with all facility personnel and customers via demonstrated proven experience.
Ability to multi-task and work with little direction is required in order be able to demonstrate the high level of initiative that will be required to track, monitor and adhere to planned work schedules
CPIM certification is a plus.
Experience with international customers is preferred.
Cross-functional knowledge of the manufacturing processes is preferred.
Familiarity with valves and/or engineered products for commercial nuclear industry applications would be a plus.
