Provide key operations leadership/management for the Flowserve Limitorque business based in Lynchburg, VA. Develop and execute the annual operations plan to meet/exceed all safety, delivery, financial, and operational performance objectives. Oversee all manufacturing activities to ensure a safe work environment, quality workmanship, strong compliance adherence, and on-time customer service.
Manage machining, assembly & test, painting, planning/scheduling, receiving/warehousing, shipping, manufacturing/test engineering, facilities & maintenance, and EH&S for a major engineered products heavy manufacturing multiple shift operation that serves global flow control markets.
Develop and implement improved processes and procedures. Motivate, challenge and develop personnel bench strength to ensure continuous skill and performance improvement. Interact with managers throughout the organization to ensure the manufacturing organization plans and priorities are aligned with the Company’s operating and strategic goals and objectives.
Ensure that all safety and health procedures and policies are followed and all Flowserve guidelines are implemented toward creating and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
Assure all products and services provided by operations meet applicable quality and safety requirements
Manage all aspects of production such that employees and processes adhere to the requirements of the Quality Manual standards and procedures
Meet or exceed all periodic and annual on time delivery, financial, and operational performance goals as defined by Flowserve’s Operational KPIs
Continuously work to improve processes surrounding planning and inventory management to drive down primary working capital
Assess manufacturing operations staffing and skill requirements. Provide leadership and development as required to achieve goals and objectives
Develop and implement personnel development plans including mid and year end PMPs, career profiles, and succession planning for all key personnel. Identify training needs and work to make training available to staff
Develop and implement process changes that continuously improve on-time delivery and quality, reduce operating and product costs, and reduce product lead-times.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and actively champion improvement projects using lean practitioner tools
Enforce work rules fairly and consistently throughout the manufacturing organization.
Maintain a positive relationship and drive improved employee health and engagement for both union and non-union employees
Develop and implement capital spending plans that meet the ongoing needs of the business for facilities, equipment, and productivity improvements
Conduct business in professional and ethical manner consistent with the Flowserve Code of Conduct

Bachelor's Degree is strongly desired in a technical discipline – Related industry experience may be considered
Minimum of 10 years of experience is strongly desired in a heavy industrial manufacturing multi-shift environment
5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with US government and commercial nuclear industry requirements and expectations is strongly preferred
Experience with MRP systems and a strong Cross-functional knowledge of the overall manufacturing processes is required
Experience with international customers and/or suppliers is required
Solid leadership and communication skills with a strong mechanical aptitude is required
Strong administration and facilitating skills is required to interact with all facility personnel and customers via demonstrated proven experience
Ability to multi-task and work with little direction is required to be able to demonstrate a high level of sustained initiative that will be required to track, monitor and adhere to tactical and strategic business plans, forecasts, and initiatives
Experience with machining, fabrication & assembly, NDE, and product functional testing with engineered products is a plus
Machine tool technology is a plus
