Position Description:

The Vice President, Supply Chain will be responsible for developing a high performing team that enables operational excellence and accelerates profitable growth through both strategic and tactical channels. S/he develops capabilities and initiatives over a multi-year horizon that facilitate Flowserve’s global growth strategy. The VP, Supply Chain will work cross functionally with other key leaders to develop global policies, procedures, and business plans. S/he will be responsible for supply chain applications, tactics, and strategy across the enterprise through both matrixed and direct reporting structures supporting multiple business groups.

  • Responsible for creating supply chain systems and processes to drive the company to achieve and surpass profitability, cash flow, business goals, customer and employee satisfaction.

  • Develops budgets and resource plans in accordance with growth initiatives.

  • Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on the supply chain function and regular executive and employee communication to promote strong execution, alignment, and accountability.

  • Develops solid people systems, processes, and development programs resulting in a highly engaged workforce and a strong and positive culture.

  • Understands the market and industry, has contact with suppliers and customers, and a strong commercial acumen to ensure all internal and external processes and systems support the vision, mission, values, and position of the company as a market leader.

  • Collaborates and builds strong relationships with platform and functional leaders (HR, Finance, Sales, IT, Marketing & Technology) to capture and maximize enterprise wide operating and financial business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Direct short-term and long-range planning and budget development to support strategic business goals, while maintaining focus on efficient tactical execution of the fundamental principles of supply chain;

  • Leads, implements and promotes a culture of respect, integrity and accountability;

  • Establish clear performance goals and ensure appropriate allocation of resources;

  • Provides and facilitates communication/interactions among team members, between teams and other areas. Resolves differences and/or conflict situations effectively with an enterprise mindset;

Position Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management;

  • Minimum of 15 years direct and influential supply chain leadership experience managing multiple sites of an international manufacturing company;

  • Previous experience restructuring a supply chain organization, including transforming policies, practices, and organizational design;

  • A solid track record for performance and progression within supply chain;

  • Fluent English language skills, verbal and written;

  • Willingness to travel (20-40%) to develop first hand understanding of sites and supply chain challenges.

  • Demonstrated agility and ability to drive multiple initiatives in parallel;

  • Strong organization and time management skills;

  • Strong problem solving skills; ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions;

  • Strong verbal and written communication competencies.
