Flowserve Corporation Senior Payroll Business Analyst in Budapest, Hungary

Position Description:

In this position the Senior Payroll Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the rollout of the payroll initiatives to strengthen and stabilize the payroll operations at Flowserve on a 9 month assignment . This position will be reporting to the Project Manager while working closely with the local payroll teams, external payroll vendors and global payroll project team members on the successful implementation of Flowserve’s payroll strategy.

Candidate will work closely with partners within regions for payroll best practices to be embedded within all payroll operations in alignment with Flowserve’s people-first culture and global vision. Candidate must be able to communicate, partner and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders. The Senior Payroll Business Analyst will work with regional payroll leads in building best practices and standards, creating efficiencies for future processes and providing enhancements to support the overall goal of the project.

Candidate must be able to coordinate critical and time sensitive deliverables throughout the duration of the project while ensuring sustainability and compliance up-to and after implementation go-live.

Position Requirements:

Duties will include but are not limited to the following :

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with global/regional payroll goals.

  • Work with local payroll teams to understand and create best practices, standard operating models and support the implementation of such.

  • With the support of the Project Management Office, oversee various phases of the project such as requirements review, future state design, process build, documentation, training/presenting, testing and post go-live hypercare.

  • Lead the identification and drive resolution of issues via process improvements, automation and other efficiencies.

  • Work with multi-country teams for high-level design review to ensure alignment with Flowserve payroll standards.

  • Ensure alignment between local and global payroll teams, as well as operations and project teams.

  • Analyze complex payroll processes, identify possible issues, roadblocks, and work with local teams to build business requirements that will enable accurate payroll delivery in future state.

  • Ensuring transition of tasks and processes between project and operations teams.

Main task requirements will include:

  • Business process analysis (current-state);

  • Building future-state model and process maps;

  • Documenting business requirement requirements and guidelines;

  • Creating test cases, supporting testing activities, and proving support to local teams with UAT and all testing efforts;

  • Provide feedback to influence strategic direction at milestones and gateways of the project;

  • Creating training materials, conducting trainings of future-state processes;

  • Providing detailed guidance on payroll standards and best practices throughout all stages of payroll implementation;

  • Providing after go-live support to operations teams.

Required to travel internationally (mainly within EMA) 25-50%.

Preferences:

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Preferred knowledge of Oracle HRMS, various global payroll systems, fully managed payroll vendor solutions

  • Experience in running complex, multi-country payrolls globally / preferable within EMA region.

  • 5 years of experience analyzing payroll business processes, developing business requirements, developing test plans and issue/discrepancy resolution.

  • Proficient user of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio etc.) required.

  • Have experience running medium to large-sized projects

  • Candidate must have knowledge of payroll process including country rules, tax policy and all aspects of payroll processing practices.

Skills:

  • Excellent English written and oral communication skills is a must; Other European language preferred (Spanish, French, or Dutch)

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills;

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and work diligently under pressure;

  • Ability to operate in a cross-country team environment, working efficiently in a multi office/time zone/cross-cultural environment, and negotiating effectively with those in other functional/technical areas and countries.

  • Customer driven (internal and external), result oriented;

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to effectively manage and influence teams without direct line reporting (matrix type environment).

  • Abilityto multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.Ability to help team members understand the need for change and helps them adapt to changeDemonstrate understanding of CIP processes (Six Sigma training / Lean methodology)
