Position Description:

To lead the Customer Services function in achieving operating sales targets every month, whilst promoting a safe and ethical facility, driving continuous improvement and delivering high levels of quality and customer service.

Position Requirements:

o Supporting the Aberdeen QRC to deliver projects to the customers and the QRCs expectations of Quality, On Time Delivery and Budget.

o Manage the Customer Services Function: plan project activities and meet monthly sales and performance targets providing day to day management to a group of around 10 people including Project Management, Contract Management, Procurement, Expediting and Workshop activities.

o Drive the Business: Partner with local customer services teams to achieve or exceed the business plan as required, including direct responsibility over managing facility maintenance, R&D activities, site services, stock control, absorption and other activities as assigned with a continuous and uncompromising focus on quality and on time delivery.

o Run a Safe and Ethical Facility: Establish / maintain controls that achieve or exceed regulatory health and safety standards, meeting import / export requirements and operating in manner that aligns to Flowserve’s ethical guidelines.

o Support the Talent Cycle: Partner with local HR in ensuring that current and future staffing levels are appropriate based on business conditions, creating a work environment in which employees are proud to work, selecting talent appropriately, driving efforts that seek to increase employee engagement, appropriately differentiating talent based on observed performance and skill, providing relevant development opportunities for employees, ensuring that local leadership continuity is intact over time and minimizing retention risk of critical knowledge or personnel.

o Be a Leader: Maintain positive employee relations within the facility by acting as an inspiring leader & role model, setting direction and communicating to the site personnel in terms of business opportunity and performance, cascading goals that seek to align an individual’s efforts to that of the larger operation’s objectives, providing feedback and coaching to direct reports and line-level leaders and recognizing the contributions of others to business success.

o Work in partnership with the Newcastle QRC Customer Services Manager to support Flowserve deliverables


o Preferred:- Degree Calibre, Preferably with in Engineering or equivalent experience

o Minimum 5 years work experience managing projects and/or functions

o Management qualification desirable such as DMS or MBA


o Minimum 5 years manufacturing management experience required

o People management experience

o Working in a corporate environment with responsibility over assigned targets

o Experience in the pump industry preferred

o Leading complex and multiple projects
